Mildred S. Dresselhaus, CAES ILP Distinguished Lecture Series (1996)
MIT Institute Professor Mildred S. Dresselhaus, guest speaker for the CAES ILP Distinguished Lecture Series, gives a talk titled "New Frontiers in Carbon Research - A Discussion of Recent Discoveries" on March 6, 1996. Renowned for her research on carbon and thermoelectrics, Dresselhaus uses soccerballs as props amd terms such as buckyballs and buckytubes to illustrate her lecture about spherical fullerenes and carbon nanotubes, and to share cutting-edge developments in nanotechnology.
