Global Initiatives

MIT is committed to solving the world's most pressing problems, and its students and faculty eager to do the hard — but fulfilling — work that entails. Indeed, the Institute can scarcely keep pace with the interests and pursuits of the wider campus, as our scholars seek new ways to apply their intellectual capital in service to the world. But because we are so profoundly interconnected, MIT needs international partners in order to have an impact. The MIT Global Initiative is a bold, multidisciplinary effort to connect MIT with world's most gifted collaborators. And while we have a 150 year commitment to global engagement, the agenda we are now developing will be far more ambitious, integrated, and influential.
