MIT150 Exhibition Opening (Full Ceremony)
On January 7, 2011, the MIT Museum opened the new Thomas Peterson ’57 Gallery with a fascinating exhibit highlighting 150 years of the rich history of MIT. Called The MIT150 Exhibition, the ongoing exhibit showcases 150 objects, presenting a window into MIT's history of invention and innovation. MIT President Susan Hockfield, Professor David Mindell, Chair of the MIT150 Steering Committee, and John Durant, MIT Museum Director, addressed the nearly 800 guests who attended the opening reception and previewed the exhibition. The MIT150 Exhibition is open to the public and runs until Dec. 31, 2011.
