Brushless Motor Control

This video shows a significant difference between square-wave commutated and sine-wave commutated brushless motor drive. The motor (from the B.W.D. Scooter project, can resonate with the scooter frame at certain speeds when driven with ordinary six-step control. Sine-wave control greatly reduces this resonance by taking out high frequency harmonics of the drive signal.
