Not sure really how to judge this piece, but I’ll take a stab at it.
Definitely one of the most attention-grabbing pieces yet. The acting was right on, and very convincing. The spooky effects had some cheesy moments but was so convincing from video manipulating (surveillance camera wideshots, and nightvision cameras). The story was very linear, and well followed through – the ending was also very effective and eerie. It’s very obvious that a lot of time, planning, effort, and teamwork placed on this film to make it work so well.
I don’t really have much bad to say. The transition digital lags were pretty bad but I assume can be fixed. Also, Sirish’s audio during his conversation with the girl was very quiet, so he’ll need subtitles. Cutting footage will have to be cut from the interim scenes i.e. the “surveying” the area, or “running” from the area.

This was definitely fun to watch as it was a suspenseful and entertaining movie. I thought your story plot and character choices were very well thought out. The story was adventurous and scary with a plot that included members being lost one by one, which made the piece more horrific since losing each person signaled that the team was cut down and the loyalty to the original plan was being lost due to danger. Also, having the more sissy individual leave first showed an agreement between plot and personality. In the same way, the guy who acted the most brave and made fun of the sissy who left was actually the one who was first attacked.
I thought the ending was also innovative as it did not seem cliche. I liked how you-turned-into-monster answered the police and said there is no emergency, and the film finished there… no hope for eradicating the monsters.
The distorted footage and lack of constant footage from every minute showed how the footage was extracted form the cameras found later. Displaying relaxed footage to build up suspense was done well.
I thought you could cut down from the footage at the beginning, where the four of you are sitting down. Just keep the parts that mention the key points about the plot. Also, that section did not seem to match the rest of the sections as it was not in any way distorted, which does not makes sense since if the other parts are distorted this part should be as well since it should have been shot with the same cameras. Some other parts where all of you are having conversations and repeating the same ideas at the beginning should be considered to be cut down as well. The faster the suspenseful sections are approached, the better.
Additionally, I thought that the reason why you guys even went into the Media Lab was not highlighted well. I could not make sense of why you would be walking around there even after you had noticed weird noises and were a bit scared. Was it a group dare? Or what was the main reason that all of you kept staying and resting there at night?
Finally, the darkened-out part of the three of you sleeping in the basement towards the beginning was not transitioned into clearly. The first time I saw that, I did not understand what was going on. I wanted to know why they were sleeping there? And why only three of them were there? Also, how they were being filmed separately when they were sleeping? With their cameras, I’m assuming, right? I thought the transitioning to that first darkened-out piece could be more clear and gradually built up to it.
