Sponsored by Prize Capital, the competition invited contestants to submit a two-minute video describing what they would propose for an X PRIZE in Energy and the Environment.</p> <p>The video, produced by LFM team members Jonathan Dreher, Mike Norelli, and Jeremy Stewart, is entitled Energy X PRIZE: Reduce Home Energy Usage. It was created in conjunction with ESD.932 “X PRIZE Workshop: Grand Challenges in Energy,” taught by Dr. Erika Wagner, within the new LFM energy and sustainability track, which offers a new engineering major in this arena for LFM students.</p> <p>The LFMs’ video was selected from 133 submissions by the X PRIZE Foundation, an educational nonprofit prize institute whose mission is to create radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity. The winner will be chosen by online voting, which runs through Nov. 30.
