Understanding Brain Disorders: Autism
(01:18:09) On April 14, 2011, The McGovern Institute partnered with Autism Speaks, an advocacy organization dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families, as part of an evening seminar series called, “Understanding Brain Disorders.” The seminar series is designed to encourage an open dialogue among scientific researchers, patients, their families, and others affected by diseases of the brain.
In this one-hour video, McGovern investigators John Gabrieli, Nancy Kanwisher, and Guoping Feng joined Michael Rosanoff of Autism Speaks in a panel discussion about autism. Following the formal presentation, the speakers opened the floor to discussion, taking questions and comments from the audience.
