FAST presents Tod Machover's spectacular new opera Death and the Powers. Composed by Machover and developed at the MIT Media Lab, Death and the Powers tells the story of Simon Powers, a successful businessman and inventor, "who wants to go beyond the bounds of humanity." This video excerpt was captured during the opera's world premiere at the Monte Carlo Opera in September 2010.
