DUE Tackling Big Problems

Comments (1)

Do you ever get the feeling with all the direction we give, we give too much direction? I refer to the segment on energy. I was dissapointed by the part where there was a tie into to economics in the solving of energy problems. I point to this as the cause to delaying alternative energy developement back in the 60’s. Clearly we placed financial viability above our own survivablity, and now we have an energy crisis that has caused global warming. Great thinkers and ideas were stopped by big oil and the fear of the oil industry and its potential for collapse due to alternative free energy. Imagine solar and wind energy powering nations today from 50 years ago how different would our planet be?
