ALB006: The Quality of Water
Video by: Caterina Scaramelli (2011)
Water in the Mystic Watershed runs through a rich urban fabric of densely populated towns, and picks up different pollutants on the way. Every month, at dawn, a group of "Citizen scientists", residents committed to the vision of a liveable Mystic, sample water quality in different parts of the watershed. Their effort is coordinated by the Mystic River Watershed Association. This film follows the meaning of water quality sampling for two "citizen scientists" on the Alewife Brook.

Congratulations Caterina. This is a wonderful video that highlights the tremendous contribution of volunteers in helping to document the condition of the Mystic River Watershed. For people interested in checking out these places that Caterina has documented I would recommend visiting the Mystic River and our website at mysticriver.org. Thank you so much Caterina.
