Troy High School InvenTeam: Presentation
The Troy High School from Fullerton, Calif., received a 2008 InvenTeam grant from the Lemelson-MIT Program to invent a robotic coconut tree climbing device. The InvenTeam presented its invention at EurekaFest at MIT in June 2008.

Great idea…congratulation.
But you still have two extremely difficult problems to solve.
1.- the harvesting arm has to have great mobility so it can cut coconut stem which generally is protected by a hard shield from the botton.
2.- Once coconuts are cut how will you avoid that they fall over the platform a break it. It will need to withstand at least 20 kilos dropped from 50 centimeters at least.
