Giant Leaps
What is the legacy of the Apollo program, and what can we learn from it to help us confront the scientific and engineering challenges of our own time? This short film kicked off the "Giant Leaps" Symposium commemorating the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. The symposium was organized by the MIT Aeronautics and Astronautics Department, and held at MIT on June 11, 2009.

This is such a beautiful film! It’s not only the best post I’ve ever seen on TechTV, but also excellent filmmaking by all professional standards. Kudos to the Aero & Astro department for investing into the production “in-house”. I hope MIT will take advantage again of the fact that we have such excellent filmmakers on campus. Great job, Chris and the rest of the AMPS team!
