The Future of Natural Gas - Interim Report Briefing
Natural gas has moved to the center of the current debate on energy, security, and climate. The MIT Study on the Future of Natural Gas has examined the role of gas in a carbon-constrained world, with a topic horizon out to mid-century. On June 25, 2010 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, the study co-chairs – Professor Henry Jacoby, co-chair of the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, Mr. Tony Meggs, MIT Visiting Engineer, and Professor Ernest J. Moniz, Director of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) – released an interim report, and discussed and answered questions about its findings and recommendations.
