The Importance of Great Design & How to Get There-Jared Ponchot

A brief look into why design is so important and some basic fundamentals for doing it well. Much that is written and discussed in the Drupal world regarding design is actually not about design at all, but rather about theming. There exists a wealth of free and paid resources to help a Drupaler quickly learn to do theming, but very little on design. This session will attempt to layout some basics of what design is and isn't, why great design is so important, and some basic ground rules and tips for producing great design. While some recommendations will be made for those with no design skill who are being required to wear that hat, the session will be focused more for those who call themselves designers and aim to do it better and better. CAUTION: Audio difficulties on parts of the Video. Audio does return.
